Simple Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients

• 1 29-ounce can Dunbar sweet potatoes, drained

• 1/2 cup sugar

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1/4 tablespoon cinnamon

• 1/4 tablespoon clove

• 1/4 tablespoon nutmeg

• 1/4 tablespoon allspice

• 1 9-inch pie shell

• 2 eggs

• 2/3 cup evaporated milk

Directions

• Preheat oven to 400°.

• In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and stir in sweet -potatoes, sugar, salt and spice blend.

• Add evaporated milk and mix well.

• Transfer mixture to pie shell.

• Bake for 10 minutes.

• Then reduce oven temperature to 350° and bake an additional 50 minutes.

• Test doneness by inserting a knife tip in the center.

• The pie is done if the knife comes out clean.

• Yields one pie.
